Sanaa: Members of the Supreme Political Council, including Mohammed al-Nuaimi and Abdulaziz bin Habtoor, along with Prime Minister Ahmed al-Rahwi, participated in an event organized by the Government of Change and Construction to commemorate the anniversary of the martyr Saleh al-Samad. Bin Habtoor praised Samad’s sacrifice, saying he was not just a head of state, but an exceptional leader who sacrificed himself for Yemen and the resistance.
According to Yemen News Agency, Bin Habtoor emphasized that the martyrdom of al-Samad represents a significant loss not only for Yemen but also for the Islamic resistance movement. He noted Yemen’s integral role within the axis of resistance extending from Sanaa to Iran and highlighted that Iran’s support for this axis has led to threats from American and Zionist entities. Despite media campaigns and attempts at distortion, the Yemeni people continue to express unwavering support for Gaza.
Mohamed Miftah, First Deputy Prime Minister, described Samad as a leader committed to real responsibility, actively engaged in serving the populace, and open to diverse opinions and criticism. He asserted that the government draws inspiration from Samad’s approach to pursue state reform and confront challenges. Miftah also issued a stern warning to the United States, declaring that any actions targeting the livelihood of Yemenis would be regarded as a declaration of war, and emphasized the Yemeni people’s resilience and unity under their leadership.
Participants in the event expressed solidarity with the victories of the Palestinian resistance and celebrated the liberation of prisoners. They also praised the progress of the Lebanese resistance in the south against Zionist occupation. Fadl Saleh al-Samad underscored his father’s belief in the Quranic project as a solution for the nation, highlighting his sincere efforts to develop state institutions and alleviate the suffering of the people.
