Sana'a: Al-Odain power station begins operation with capacity of 650 kW: Ibb Governor Abdulwahid Salah and Director General of the Public Electricity Corporation Dr. Mishaal Al-Raifi inaugurated on Wednesday the operation of Al-Odain District Power Station, with a generation capacity of 650 kilowatts.
According to Yemen News Agency, Governor Salah emphasized the significance of the station's operation, highlighting it as a crucial service project that addresses the electricity needs of 1,550 subscribers in the district. This development is expected to enhance the power supply and alleviate the difficulties faced by citizens due to electricity shortages.
Governor Salah reiterated the local authority's dedication to advancing the electricity sector by working collaboratively with relevant bodies. This includes implementing initiatives that bolster infrastructure and enhance public services. He described the station's operation as a pivotal move towards strengthening services in the district and commended the Public Electricity Corporation and technical teams for their efforts in completing and operationalizing the project. He also stressed the importance of maintaining the station to ensure its efficiency and continued service.
Dr. Mishaal Al-Raifi mentioned that the inauguration of Al-Odain Power Station aligns with the corporation's strategy to boost generation capacity and improve electricity services across Ibb's districts.
