Taiz: Al-Qalaa team claimed the title of the Hoban Stars Youth League in Taiz Province after defeating Sanwar Seera team 4-2 in today's final match.
According to Yemen News Agency, Al-Qalaa's victory was secured through a combination of strategic play and early domination. The team took an early lead with a penalty goal, followed by a second goal in the 20th minute, ensuring they ended the first half with a strong advantage. In the second half, they continued their momentum with a third goal. Despite Sanwar Seera's efforts, which saw them score their first goal on a counterattack, Al-Qalaa further extended their lead with a fourth goal. Sanwar managed to score a second goal, but it wasn't enough to overturn Al-Qalaa's lead.
The league, which saw the participation of 12 teams, was organized under the sponsorship of the local authority in the governorate and supervised by the Youth and Sports Office. The competition spanned a full month, showcasing the talents and dedication of the youth teams in the region.
At the conclusion of the match, Deputy Director of the Youth and Sports Office, Fakhruddin Al-Bishiri, along with the organizing committee members Al-Aql Muhammad Faisal and Wahib Al-Abyad, honored the participating teams. They celebrated the league champion Al-Qalaa, as well as the best player, goalkeeper, and top scorer of the tournament. The event was attended by a large and enthusiastic sports audience, adding to the vibrant atmosphere of the final match.
