Al-Raheda Customs Center Destroys 25 Tons of Smuggled Medicines and Goods

Al-raheda: Al-Raheda Customs Center in Taiz Governorate destroyed 25 tons of seized medicines and goods today.

According to Yemen News Agency, the center's director, Mohammed Al-Jabri, stated that the destruction was carried out in the presence of representatives from the relevant authorities. He noted that the items included confiscated medicines that had exceeded their legal storage period.

In a related development, the Anti-Smuggling Unit in Taiz Governorate, in coordination with Customs Enforcement officers, foiled an attempt to smuggle 950 strips of medicine hidden inside upholstery and vehicle doors.

Al-Jabri praised the efforts of the Anti-Smuggling Unit and the Customs Enforcement team in preventing and thwarting smuggling attempts, stressing that the center will not tolerate any violations in its mission to control banned and smuggled goods.
