Sanaa: Prime Minister Ahmed Ghaleb Al-Rahwi participated on Monday in an event organized by the Yemeni General Organization for Cement Manufacturing and Marketing to launch its new cement products. In his speech, the Prime Minister praised this achievement, which is added to the successive achievements of the Ministry of Economy, Industry and Investment. He praised the activity and efforts of the Yemeni General Organization for Cement Industry and Marketing.
According to Yemen News Agency, Al-Rahwi blessed the launch of the manufacture of three types of cement with full reliance on local raw materials. He considered what the Ministry of Economy achieves as an added value to the achievements of the Yemeni people, which comes in accordance with the directives of the Revolution Leader, Sayyid Abdulmalik Badreddin Al-Houthi.
“We rely heavily on the economic aspect and focus on it because of its role in developing the country, development and improving the standard of living for the general public, despite our suffering from the blockade and the continued occupation of the southern provinces, which are currently suffering greatly due to the policies of chaos and starvation by the occupier, which is going through a great labor to get rid of the occupation, its arrogance and forcefulness,” Al-Rahwi said.
He further emphasized the commitment to progress, stating, “We will proceed, relying on God, to liberate these provinces and rid them of the yoke of the Saudi-Emirati-British occupier,” while praising the efforts of the leadership of the Economy and Industry Ministry. Al-Rahwi also commended the leadership of the Economy, Industry and Investment Ministry for its achievements and the development of these factories and other areas of investment, especially following the issuance and launch of the Investment Law 2025, which offers significant advantages and incentives to attract local and foreign capital.
Al-Rahwi highlighted the corporation’s ability to implement the revolutionary and political leadership and the government of change and construction directives in localizing the cement industry. He underscored this achievement as a commitment to achieving self-sufficiency and reducing dependence on imported products. The corporation will continue to develop its industries to serve the interest of the local consumer and promote sustainability in the national economy.
The three products launched include Portland Pozzolanic Cement, known for its improved resistance to salts, reduced thermal cracks, and environmental benefits; sulfate-resistant cement, noted for its high resistance to chemical corrosion and extended shelf life; and Portland composite cement, recognized for its improved workability, moderate environmental resistance, and cost-effectiveness.
