Sa'wan city: The Al-Shaab Social Development Foundation successfully concluded its economic empowerment training project aimed at women and girls of Bilal's descendants in New Sa'wan City and the surrounding areas of the Shu'ub District. This initiative, supported by Yemen Mobile, marked the culmination of a five-month effort to provide skills and job opportunities in sewing, tailoring, handicrafts, embroidery, detergent manufacturing, food processing, and human development.
According to Yemen News Agency, the project's closing ceremony was attended by key figures, including Mabrouk Al-Washah, a member of the local council's administrative board, and Mujeeb Al-Faqih, director of programs and projects at the Al-Shaab Foundation. During the event, Mutawakkil Al-Raimi, director of the Sa'wan Development Office, congratulated the 147 trainees on their achievements. He emphasized that the project's success highlights the tangible impact of economic empowerment on families and communities, especially for the women and girls of Bilal's descendants.
Al-Raimi underscored the project's significance in providing vital job opportunities and improving living conditions for this community segment. He praised the leadership's dedication to economically empowering these women and girls and commended Yemen Mobile's support in enhancing the capabilities of impoverished families and integrating qualified personnel into the labor market.
Abdul-Jabbar Al-Badawi, Director of Yemen Mobile's Affairs Department, called for continuous support of such empowerment projects. He urged civil society organizations to concentrate on developing the skills of young people and girls through similar initiatives. Al-Badawi affirmed Yemen Mobile's ongoing commitment to supporting income-generating projects that uplift poor and needy families economically.
The ceremony also featured a performance by the Al-Sumoud band and a presentation on the project's benefits. The top ten winners in various categories, including sewing, tailoring, handicrafts, and more, were honored with sewing machines and certificates. Trainers and Yemen Mobile received commemorative shields for their contributions to the project's success.
