Al-mahwit: Al-Tawelah Multi-Purpose Cooperative Society and executive offices in the Al-Tawelah district of Al-Mahwit governorate organized a commemorative event on Saturday marking the Prophet Muhammad's birthday. The event was a collaborative initiative involving the Civil Status and Civil Registry Department, the Offices of Social Affairs and Labor and Finance, the Agriculture and Fisheries Sector, the Water Resources Authority branch, the Community Initiatives Department, the Executive Unit, and the Education Unit within the district.
According to Yemen News Agency, the event was attended by notable figures including Al-Tawelah District Director Rashid Marwan, members of the society's administrative board, and directors of executive offices. District Mobilization Official Ali Sharaf al-Din highlighted the importance of commemorating the Prophet's birthday as a means to strengthen the connection with Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him and his family) and to emulate his morals, qualities, principles, and values in the life of the nation. He emphasized that the commemoration reflects the Yemeni people's love for the Prophet and their commitment to his teachings, urging for lessons and guidance from his life to foster solidarity, cooperation, and community service.
Sharaf al-Din also stressed the need for increased efforts and widespread public participation in the central event marking the Prophet's birthday, set to take place at the Prophet's Square in Al-Mahwit city on 12 Rabi' al-Awwal. This event is intended to honor the significance of the occasion appropriately.
Major Hazzam Yahya, Director of the Civil Status Department, reiterated the importance of embodying the values and principles introduced by the Prophet and translating them into practical actions when interacting with citizens, serving the public, and promoting a spirit of responsibility and cooperation within the community. He described the commemoration as an opportunity to unite people, reinforce values of mercy, benevolence, and solidarity, and uphold the nation's religious and cultural identity.
Additionally, Sheikh Ali al-Harasi, Secretary-General of Al-Tawelah Multi-Purpose Cooperative Society, stated that celebrating the Prophet's birthday is a testament to the district residents' love for the Prophet. It encourages them to emulate his example in work, giving, and community service. He affirmed the society's and executive offices' dedication to enhancing cooperation and coordination in implementing community initiatives and projects, thereby contributing to improved services and supporting local development efforts.
