Taiz: The Al-Ta’ziyah Association in Taiz Governorate is pressing forward with its extensive veterinary campaign, which commenced on Friday. The initiative aims to treat livestock and enhance cattle health as part of the association’s strategy to bolster the livestock sector and improve food security.
According to Yemen News Agency, the two-week campaign has already addressed the needs of 946 heads of cattle, sheep, and goats in the regions of Al-Shuhna, Al-Hashma, Al-Da’isa, Al-Ruba’i, and Al-Qusayba within the Al-Ta’ziyah District. The campaign is set to continue until all affected areas receive the necessary support.
The effort, in collaboration with the “Knights of Development” team, includes free veterinary exams, essential treatments to counter prevalent diseases, and intensive awareness sessions designed to educate breeders on optimal health practices for safeguarding their livestock against epidemics and enhancing productivity.
In a statement, the association highlighted that the initiative addresses the pressing needs of farmers, particularly amid the challenges facing the livestock sector. It underscored that ensuring the health and protection of livestock is critical for achieving sustainable development and maintaining regional food security stability.
The association called on all livestock breeders to take advantage of the campaign’s services, which are active in several areas, reiterating its dedication to maintaining efforts toward establishing a sustainable and healthy environment for livestock.
