Sana’a: A cultural event was organized in the Capital Secretariat by the Al-Thawra Directorate to commemorate International Quds Day under the theme “On Covenant, O Quds”. The event took place on Thursday, emphasizing the significance of the day for the Islamic community and its support for occupied Palestine.
According to Yemen News Agency, the deputy head of the Shafi’i Council, Allama Radwan Al-Mahia, highlighted the importance of observing International Quds Day as a demonstration of solidarity with the first cause of Islam and Muslims-occupied Palestine. During his speech, Allama Al-Mahia expressed strong views regarding the Jewish community, describing them as a primary cause of regional issues and a “cancerous gland” that he believes needs to be eradicated from Palestine and the surrounding area.
He further elaborated on the role of Yemenis, under the leadership of Sayyid Abdulmalik Badr al-Din al-Houthi, in supporting Palestinians. This support, he stated, includes missile strikes and military actions by Yemeni armed forces against American interests in the Red Sea, as well as targeting the core of the Zionist state. His remarks underscored a call for unity among Muslims to confront Jewish and Zionist entities, aid the Palestinians, and work towards the liberation of the Al-Aqsa Mosque, invoking a divine directive to combat adversaries collectively.
