Al-tuhayta: The Prophet Muhammad Football Championship for local teams has commenced in the Al-Tuhayta District of Hodeidah Governorate. This event is organized by the district's Youth and Sports Office and is overseen by the Ministry of Youth and Sports, the local authority, and the governorate's mobilization leadership. The championship is part of the celebrations marking the 1448 AH anniversary of the birth of Prophet Muhammad.
According to Yemen News Agency, five local teams from the district are participating in the tournament, which is structured in a group-stage format with a round-robin system. The event is not only a celebration but also aims to encourage sporting activities among the local youth.
In the opening match, Al-Nakheel emerged victorious over Shabab Al-Suwaiq with a scoreline of 3-1. The match took place at Al-Tuhayta City Stadium and was marked by strong competition and enthusiastic crowd support. Players exhibited a sporting spirit and camaraderie that embodies the essence of the championship.
