Sanaa: Al-Wahdah District in Capital Secretariat organized a speech event on Tuesday to commemorate the birth anniversary of Prophet Muhammad. During the event, First Deputy Mayor of Capital Secretariat Khalid Al-Madani stressed the importance of honoring the occasion as an expression of love and deep attachment to the Prophet, who brought humanity from darkness into light.

According to Yemen News Agency, Al-Madani emphasized that Yemenis' observance of the occasion reflects their commitment to Allah, the Prophet, his family, and the guided leaders, as well as their adherence to the Prophet's noble example and values. He highlighted the importance of studying the authentic biography of the Prophet, particularly his efforts and courage, and drawing lessons that contribute to reforming the lives of the nation.

Al-Madani also discussed the need for liberation from the domination of oppressive global powers, which requires correcting beliefs, culture, and thought through the Quran. He described commemorating the occasion amid the aggression and blockade against Yemen as an opportunity to strengthen steadfastness and resilience, reaffirming readiness to end the aggression, blockade, and occupation.

Director of Al-Wahdah District Sami Humaid noted that celebrations held across neighborhoods and communities embody Yemenis' deeply rooted faith-based connection with Allah and the Prophet. He added that the occasion provides an opportunity to learn about the Prophet's life and reinforce the culture of struggle.

Humaid called for broad participation in the central celebration marking the Prophet's birthday, urging that it be held in a manner befitting the significance of the occasion and the Prophet's place in people's hearts.
