Hodeida: The 79th free eye medical and surgical camp, organized by the Health Care Society for Affected Communities at Al-Zaidiyah Rural Hospital in Hodeida governorate, has performed 226 surgeries.
According to Yemen News Agency, Dr. Nashwan Al-Attab, head of the society, stated that the surgeries performed at the camp-funded by the General Authority for Zakat-included 217 cataract surgeries and nine pterygium surgeries. The camp, which lasted five days and was held in cooperation with the governorate's Health Office, provided medical services to 846 cases.
Dr. Al-Attab emphasized the camp's significance in alleviating the suffering of patients from impoverished families. He also noted the camp's role in fostering social solidarity and benevolence toward the most destitute and needy groups. Additionally, he commended the humanitarian support of the General Authority for Zakat for their role in the camp's success.
