Amran:The Amran Water Basin Committee convened a meeting under the leadership of Governor Dr. Faisal Jaaman to discuss strategies for managing water resources and regulating their exploitation. The discussions were centered around preserving groundwater reserves and preventing their indiscriminate depletion, with the objective of ensuring water sustainability and addressing threats to water security in the governorate.
According to Yemen News Agency, the meeting also evaluated applications submitted to the committee for drilling new wells and deepening existing ones. These applications were reviewed alongside the technical and legal procedures involved in issuing drilling permits, ensuring they comply with established regulations and standards.
