Tehran: Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi has asserted that there is no military solution to the ongoing Yemen crisis or the Bab al-Mandab issue, emphasizing the need for dialogue among regional parties to resolve these disputes.
According to Yemen News Agency, Araghchi highlighted that the roots of the Yemen crisis extend beyond Iran's involvement and are deeply embedded in longstanding regional disputes. He expressed Iran's support for dialogue involving Yemen, Saudi Arabia, and other nations, and reaffirmed Tehran's readiness to play a constructive role in these discussions.
Furthermore, Araghchi addressed Iran's recent strikes on US bases during the 40-day war, describing them as actions taken in 'legitimate self-defense.' Despite these events, he underscored that Iran does not aspire to foster hostility with its neighboring countries.
Araghchi also called for enhanced regional cooperation and collective security, emphasizing that true stability cannot be achieved through dependence on foreign powers. He reiterated that dialogue remains the most effective path toward the resolution of these regional disputes.
