Sana'a: In a bold response to accusations and military aggression from Saudi Arabia, the Yemeni Armed Forces announced the execution of two significant military operations targeting strategic sites in Riyadh and the Aramco facilities in Yanbu.
According to Yemen News Agency, these operations were in retaliation for the ongoing airstrikes carried out by Saudi forces, which have allegedly resulted in numerous civilian casualties and extensive damage to infrastructure in Yemen.
The Yemeni Armed Forces justified their actions as a defense against what they described as continuous criminal aggression by Saudi Arabia, whose military operations have reportedly included 732 airstrikes using F-15 and Typhoon warplanes. These strikes, originating from Khamis Mushait and Taif bases, have been characterized as attempts to undermine the safety and sovereignty of Yemen, particularly targeting the capital, Sana'a.
The military operations employed a combination of ballistic and cruise missiles along with drones, successfully hitting sensitive locations in the Saudi capital and causing significant fires at the Aramco sites. The Yemeni Armed Forces emphasized that the attacks were not aimed at civilians, countering Saudi media claims with assertions that any civilian casualties were due to failed intercepts by Saudi defense systems.
The Yemeni military reiterated their stance of matching escalation with escalation, vowing to continue their operations until the Saudi-led aggression ceases and the blockade on Yemen is lifted.
