Sana'a: Residents of Maeen district in the capital Sana'a held a large armed tribal rally, declaring a general mobilization and readiness in response to a call by leader Abdulmalik Badr al-Din al-Houthi to end the aggression and blockade against Yemen. The rally was attended by several members of the parliamentarians and the Shura Council, First Attorney General Judge Abdulkarim al-Shami, Maeen district Director Abdulmalik al-Radhi, and other local officials.
According to Yemen News Agency, participants declared their readiness to support the armed forces until the aggression and blockade are ended, saying this would enable Yemen to achieve independence, freedom, and full use of its national resources. The attendees also renewed their support for leader Abdulmalik Badr al-Din al-Houthi and endorsed the decisions and policies he adopts in confronting aggressor forces, pledging to remain at the forefront of efforts to defend the country and preserve social stability.
During the event, Assistant Undersecretary of the Capital Sami Sharaf al-Din praised the large turnout, saying participants had answered the leader's call for mobilization against tyranny and foreign aggression. He said Yemenis were prepared for any future confrontation and voiced support for measures aimed at strengthening the country's security, stability, and independence.
In a statement issued at the rally, participants welcomed the message delivered by the leader on the occasion of the Islamic New Year and reaffirmed their support for its contents. The statement reiterated the participants' hostile stance toward Israeli enemy and the United States, describing them as enemies of Islam, and called on Muslims to confront them. It also expressed support for the "Axis of Jihad and Resistance" and the principle of the "unity of fronts."
The statement further congratulated Iran's leadership and people on their victory over the United States and Israel, reaffirmed readiness for any future escalation involving the two countries, and called on people to join what it described as the resistance axis. Participants also declared continued official and popular readiness to work toward ending the conflict, foreign military presence, and blockade, while calling for expanded military training programs, public mobilization activities, demonstrations, tribal gatherings, and military exercises.
The statement concluded by renewing full support for the political leadership and urging in both the north and south of the country to unite in efforts to expel foreign forces, reclaim national resources, and achieve what it described as Yemen's freedom and independence.
