Sana'a: Speech events were held across Ibb province on Sunday to commemorate Ashura. The events were organized by Jiblah University for Medical and Health Sciences, the local authority and General Mobilization in Mudhaykhirah District, the district Security Department, and the Cleaning and Improvement Fund and Literacy Authority in Al-Nadirah District.
According to Yemen News Agency, speakers at the events highlighted the life of Imam Hussein, praising his faith, courage, and enduring commitment to justice and Islamic values. They also recalled the Battle of Karbala, emphasizing its lessons of sacrifice, steadfastness, and resistance to oppression.
The speeches stressed that Ashura remains a religious and historical occasion that inspires the values of bravery and self-sacrifice, noting that the Yemeni people draw from it the spirit of resilience and steadfastness in facing challenges.
