Atifi and Mahdi Discuss Cooperation to Boost Economic Activity in Al-Hodeidah

Sana'a: A meeting held today in Sana'a brought together the Governor of Al-Hodeidah, Abdullah Atifi, and the Acting Head of the Tax and Customs Authority, Dr. Ibrahim Mahdi. The discussion focused on enhancing cooperation between the Authority and the local authorities in the governorate to bolster economic and investment activities.

According to Yemen News Agency, the meeting addressed the significant role played by the Authority in providing legal tax and customs facilities to support productive and developmental projects. This support aims to enhance economic activity, create job opportunities, and increase local production in the governorate.

The meeting also reviewed the current state of investment and industrial projects in Al-Hodeidah, exploring development opportunities to further invigorate economic activity. The participants discussed challenges faced by these projects and proposed necessary measures to address them in coordination with relevant authorities.

Dr. Mahdi reaffirmed the commitment of the Tax and Customs Authority's leadership to providing comprehensive support and legal facilities for investment and industrial projects. He emphasized the importance of creating an attractive investment environment to strengthen the national economy and highlighted efforts to develop customs and tax services to facilitate private sector growth.

Governor Atifi commended the Authority's role in supporting economic development and improving tax and customs services for investors and traders. He stressed the need for continued cooperation to overcome challenges and enhance performance for the benefit of the governorate and the national economy.
