Sana'a: Secretary-General of the Local Council of Sana'a governorate, Abdulqader al-Jailani, and Director of Traffic Police Major General Dr. Bakil al-Barashi inaugurated the automated issuance center for traffic services in New Sana'a district. The event took place in the governorate's capital with key officials, including the governorate's security director, Brigadier General Mujahid Ayedh, and the governorate's traffic director, Brigadier General Abdul Rahman Al-Ataki, in attendance. They inspected the center's facilities and reviewed the mechanisms designed to streamline procedures and provide services to citizens.
According to Yemen News Agency, the center's director, Lieutenant Colonel Saleh Wahhas, provided a presentation on the center's departments and the procedures in place to facilitate the issuance of vehicle registrations and driver's licenses. Al-Jailani emphasized that the opening of the automated issuance center is a significant step in the integrated work between the Ministry of Interior and local authorities, aligning with the government's program to deliver services efficiently.
The Director of Traffic Police highlighted the initiative as part of the Ministry of Interior's directives and the Traffic Police's development and digital transformation plan. This plan aims to expand traffic services, simplify procedures, and improve service delivery. He acknowledged the Ministry's support and the local authority's efforts in overcoming challenges and enhancing traffic department services in the governorate.
Colonel al-Ataki, the governorate's Traffic Director, affirmed the commitment to simplifying procedures, expanding service locations, and equipping them with necessary technical resources. He noted that the new center will streamline service procedures and reduce the need for citizens to travel to the capital for their traffic-related transactions.
