Sana’a: The Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Sana’a, in coordination with the Tax Authority, organized an awareness seminar focused on the importance of filing tax returns on time. The event underscored the need for increased tax awareness among taxpayers and highlighted recent transformations within the Tax Authority aimed at simplifying tax procedures, particularly those related to filing tax returns.
According to Yemen News Agency, Acting Head of the Tax Authority, Wahid Al-Kabsi, emphasized the significance of ongoing engagements between the authority and private sector taxpayers, including traders, businessmen, and financiers. He noted that such interactions are crucial for fostering a collaborative relationship.
Mohammed Salah, Vice Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry in the capital, commended the positive changes within the Tax Authority, which have marked a new phase of partnership with the private sector. Salah noted that both the Chamber of Commerce and taxpayers are dedicated to submitting tax returns promptly. He also highlighted that the Acting President’s presence at the Chamber’s building to meet with traders reflects the strong partnership and commitment to institutional work values.
The seminar featured numerous discussions and interventions from traders, focusing on the various tax transformations that have bolstered taxpayers’ confidence in the authority’s dedication to establishing integrity in tax operations. Participants expressed their commitment to engaging with the evolving tax processes, particularly the electronic filing of tax returns on schedule.
