Sanaa: The General Department of Women’s Affairs at the Awqaf Authority, in cooperation with the Women’s Authority in Amanat Al-Asimah and Al-Noor Scientific Center, commemorated the 18th anniversary of the death of the scholar Majd Al-Din bin Muhammad Al-Mu’aidi. The event highlighted the scholar’s contributions to science and his lasting impact on the community.
According to Yemen News Agency, the Director General of Women’s Affairs emphasized that the commemoration serves as a tribute to science and scholars, reflecting on a legacy that encourages a return to a correct national approach. She acknowledged the scholarly excellence of Al-Mu’aydi and his role in supporting truth and spreading enlightened thought.
The event also reviewed Al-Mu’aydi’s influence in mentoring prominent scholars such as the martyr leader Hussein Badr al-Din al-Houthi and Sayyid al-Qaid Abdul Malik al-Houthi, noting their significant impact on the Qur’anic process. Additionally, the director of the Women’s Commission highlighted Al-Mu’aydi’s integration of science and jihad in defending religion against deviant ideas.
Cultural activist Bushra al-Houthi underscored the importance of following the example set by scientists like Al-Mu’aydi and stressed the critical role of science in the nation’s progress. The commemoration featured chanting segments and awareness flashes about the life and work of Majd Al-Din Al-Mu’aidi.
