Baath Arab Socialist Party Highlights Significance of September 21 Revolution in Yemen’s Sovereignty

Sana'a: The Baath Arab Socialist Party affirmed that the September 21 Revolution embodied Yemen's independence, sovereignty, and ended decades of foreign tutelage and dependence.

According to Yemen News Agency, the party expressed confidence in the wisdom of the revolution's leader, the political leadership, and the armed forces in confronting what it described as plots against the revolution. The statement highlighted the revolution's achievements, which included strengthening Yemen's sovereignty, independence in decision-making, and establishing the country as a regional and international power with unprecedented deterrence capabilities.

The party praised the Yemeni armed forces for developing their military capabilities, particularly in missiles, drones, air defense, naval capabilities, and military manufacturing. It renewed its support for the strategic choices of Revolution Leader Sayyed Abdul-Malik Badr al-Din al-Houthi and his leadership in confronting what it called the forces of tyranny, emphasizing his commitment to Yemen's independence, sovereignty, and the liberation of its territory, islands, and territorial waters.

The party also commended the successive victories of the Yemeni armed forces and their recent advances on the western coast, asserting that these successes strengthen Yemen's claim to sovereignty over the Bab al-Mandab Strait and Yemeni islands. The statement condemned Saudi attacks against Yemen and its civilian facilities, as well as the continued blockade, accusing Riyadh of seeking to maintain foreign control over Yemen. It also rejected Saudi claims that Yemen had targeted Mecca.

The Baath Arab Socialist Party stressed the special status of Mecca and other Islamic holy sites among Yemenis, citing Yemen's support for the Palestinian people in Gaza, and accused Saudi Arabia of intercepting Yemeni missiles and drones heading toward Israel. Furthermore, it condemned what it described as U.S. and Israeli aggression and blockade against Iran, expressing solidarity with the Iranian people, as well as the peoples of Palestine, Lebanon, Iraq, and others.

Additionally, the party condemned Israel's actions in Gaza and the West Bank and its violations at Al-Aqsa Mosque, as well as the destruction in southern Lebanon. In conclusion, the party extended congratulations to Revolution Leader Sayyed Abdul-Malik Badr al-Din al-Houthi, President of the Supreme Political Council Mahdi al-Mashat, the Yemeni armed forces, and the Yemeni people on the 12th anniversary of the September 21 Revolution.
