Sana'a:Baqer Darwish, Head of the Bahrain Forum for Human Rights, has criticized Saudi Arabia for allegedly fabricating incidents involving holy sites in Mecca and Medina. This, he claims, is an attempt to tarnish the reputation of the Yemeni people, who are portrayed as defenders of the nation's sanctities.
According to Yemen News Agency, Darwish stated that Saudi Arabia exploits the symbolic significance of these revered sites for political purposes. He accused the Saudi government of imposing an unjust blockade on Yemen while pursuing normalization with certain entities.
Darwish questioned the credibility of Saudi Arabia, contrasting it with those who lack resources but continue to defend Palestine. He referenced past incidents such as the killing of journalist Jamal Khashoggi, the bombing of a funeral in Sana'a in 2016, and the Dhahyan bus attack in 2018 to support his claims.
He concluded by asserting that those with a history of war crimes against Yemenis should not be speaking about sacred sites. Instead, Darwish suggested they are more suited to discuss matters like dealings with Epstein and covert operations with the Mossad.
