Bayda: The Sixth Scientific Conference of Bayda University, titled 'The Environment in the 21st Century: Reality, Challenges, and Solutions,' is set to commence tomorrow at the university.
According to Yemen News Agency, the three-day conference, running from October 7-9, will gather 229 participants and researchers from 90 academic institutions across Yemen and 17 other countries. The event will feature the presentation of 140 research papers and scientific studies focused on various environmental fields.
Dr. Ahmed al-Arami, the university's rector and head of the conference's preparatory committee, highlighted that the conference aims to develop scientific and practical visions to address the environmental challenges facing humanity today. He emphasized that it serves as a platform to showcase research and studies that can enhance environmental policies, explore innovative solutions, develop eco-friendly technologies, and offer practical approaches to current environmental issues.
Dr. al-Arami also mentioned that the participating institutions include a wide range of universities, colleges, government bodies, research centers, institutes, sports organizations, and both local and international social institutions.
