Sana'a: A book signing ceremony was held on Thursday at the Cultural Center in the capital Sana'a for two books by Shura Council member and author Mohammed Ayed Ahmed al-Nusairi: al-Hada: The Roots of History and the Horizons of the Future and al-Nusairi Tribe Throughout History.
According to Yemen News Agency, the event attracted officials, academics, intellectuals, and social figures who commended the publications for their role in documenting Yemeni history and tribal heritage. The ceremony marked the release of the second revised and expanded edition of al-Hada: The Roots of History and the Horizons of the Future, which delves into the historical roots of the al-Hada tribe, its contributions to the nation, and its future aspirations.
The second book, "Al-Nusairi Tribe Throughout History," traces the tribe's lineage, homelands, historical milestones, and efforts to strengthen unity among its members across Yemen. Deputy Speaker of the Shura Council Dhaifallah Rassam, alongside other political, social, academic, literary, and intellectual figures, attended the event. They praised the books for enriching Yemen's historical and documentary record and for preserving elements of the country's national identity and tribal heritage.
Participants emphasized the significance of documenting the history of Yemeni tribes and their roles in society and the nation through various periods. They recognized the author's efforts as a vital contribution to enhancing social cohesion and maintaining collective memory.
Speakers also urged for increased efforts to end revenge killings, reject violence, promote comprehensive reconciliation, and develop practical solutions to the social challenges facing communities. The ceremony included critical reviews and historical discussions of the two books, as well as the honoring of several social figures, dignitaries, Shura Council members, representatives of the al-Nusairi Forum, and prominent members of the al-Hada tribe in recognition of their societal and national contributions.
The event concluded with artistic and musical performances and a multimedia presentation showcasing the history of the al-Hada tribe and notable figures who have contributed to the national cultural scene through achievements in Quran memorization, poetry, and the arts.
