Sana'a: The CAC Bank and Yemen Mobile teams secured the top spots in Groups B and C, respectively, after achieving two valuable victories in the opening matches of the fourth round of the ninth Yemeni Telecommunications Futsal Championship for Companies.
According to Yemen News Agency, the tournament, organized by the Companies Union and sponsored by Yemen Telecommunications, is being held at the Recreational Club Stadium in the capital, Sana'a. In Group B, CAC Bank continued its strong performance, defeating the Public Prosecution team 5-2. Zakaria Al-Ayani scored four goals for CAC Bank, with Ali Al-Matari adding the fifth. Ismail Al-Radmi and Mohammed Al-Qadsi scored for the Public Prosecution team.
Also in Group B, the Facilities Police team triumphed over the Palestinian Community team 5-3. Suleiman Al-Muqahfi, Ahmed Al-Banawi, Abdulrahim Al-Abdi, and Ahmed Al-Yamani (two goals) scored for Facilities Police, while Abdulrahman Dheeb and Omar Dabwan scored for the Palestinian Community team. With these results, CAC Bank leads Group B with 7 points, ahead of Facilities Police on goal difference. The Palestinian Community team remains in third place with 4 points, tied with the Ministry of Electricity and Water. The Public Prosecution team remains at the bottom of the group with no points after suffering its third defeat.
In Group C, Yemen Mobile took the lead after securing a 1-0 victory against the Ministry of Finance, with Yasser Al-Amri scoring the winning goal. In the same group, the Ministry of Oil team secured their first victory of the tournament, defeating the Passport Authority 5-1, deepening the latter's woes as they suffered their fourth consecutive loss.
The five goals for the Oil team were scored by Hashim Al-Saylami, Hussein Al-Aidaroos, and Ahmed Tamish, while Amin Al-Radmi scored the Passport Authority's lone goal.
With these results, Yemen Mobile tops Group C with 9 points, while the Ministry of Oil climbs to third place with 4 points, behind the "Flousak" wallet team in second place with 7 points. The Ministry of Finance team drops to fourth place with 3 points, and the Passport Authority team remains at the bottom of the table with no points.
