Campaign to Remove Informal Settlements in Bani Matar District in Sana’a

Sana’a: A campaign was carried out on Monday in the Bani Matar district in Sana’a province to remove stalls and informal settlements in Matnah, the center of the district.

According to Yemen News Agency, the campaign was conducted by the Cleanliness and Improvement Fund, Traffic, and Works. The initiative aimed to organize markets, facilitate traffic, and remove distortions and violations that cause congestion and impede traffic flow.

The director of the directorate, Yahya Al-Qanous, emphasized the importance of concerted efforts to eliminate randomness and violations in the public street. He also highlighted the need to provide alternative places for street vendors.

Al-Qanous stressed the necessity of continuing efforts to remove violations and irregularities in the directorate’s markets to enhance its aesthetic appearance.
