Sana'a: Educational and community meetings were held on Saturday in Al-Wahdah District of Capital Secretariat to mark the birth anniversary of Prophet Muhammad.
According to Yemen News Agency, a large gathering took place in the Al-Wahdah Educational Zone, attended by Deputy Minister of Social Affairs and Labor Dr. Ghassan Al-Madani, District Director Sami Humaid, General Mobilization official Abdullah Al-Dharafi, along with various executive, cultural, and educational officials. Both Al-Madani and Humaid emphasized that the Prophet's birthday is an opportunity to reinforce awareness and attachment to his teachings, drawing inspiration from the values of sacrifice, mercy, justice, and struggle embodied in his life.
They highlighted that the widespread participation of schools, teachers, and students demonstrates their strong connection to the Prophet, as well as their commitment to adhering to his values and exemplary conduct. Furthermore, they underscored that Yemenis associate the commemoration of the Prophet's life with their ongoing support for the causes and sanctities of the Muslim nation, particularly the Palestinian cause.
In addition, Al-Dharafi and Educational Zone Director Mulaff Al-Mutri pointed to efforts aimed at distancing Muslims from the Prophet and the Holy Qur'an, stressing the importance of marking the occasion to reinforce commitment to the Prophet's principles and values. The district also hosted two community meetings in honor of the occasion, where officials reiterated that celebrating the birth of the final Prophet and Messenger reflects Yemenis' love and reverence for Prophet Muhammad and their dedication to following his path.
