Sana’a: The Secretary of the Capital, Dr. Hamoud Obad, inaugurated on Sunday the Martyrs’ Photo Exhibition in Ma’in District, marking the annual Martyr Anniversary for the year 1447 AH. Dr. Obad, along with the First Undersecretary of the Capital, Khaled Al-Madani, Assistant Undersecretary Sami Sharaf Al-Din, and the Director of Ma’in District, Abdulmalik Al-Radhi, toured the exhibition, which includes photos of leading martyrs, martyrs of the district, and martyrs of the Resistance Front. The exhibition also features models of military industries and visual displays illustrating the support operations carried out by the Yemeni Armed Forces in favor of the Palestinian resistance during the Zionist aggression against the Gaza Strip.
According to Yemen News Agency, the Secretary of the Capital affirmed the importance of such exhibitions in commemorating the sacrifices of the martyrs who defended the homeland and its independence. He noted that the Martyr Anniversary serves as a moment for the Yemeni people to draw inspiration from the values of sacrifice and devotion in confronting the enemies of the nation, reinforcing the culture of resistance, martyrdom in society, and renewing loyalty to the martyrs by continuing on their path in confronting tyranny and arrogance.
For his part, Sharaf Al-Din explained that the Martyr Anniversary is an opportunity to reflect on the lessons from the martyrs’ sacrifices, heroism, and to continue their path in struggle and sacrifice for the sake of God, the defense of the homeland, the nation’s sanctities, and the support of the oppressed. He expressed pride in the heroic sacrifices and great acts recorded by the martyrs in the fields of honor, dignity, and defense of land, honor, and national sovereignty.
In the speech delivered on behalf of the martyrs’ families, Mohammed Al-Hamzi highlighted the greatness of martyrdom and the esteemed status of martyrs before God, which remains a source of honor and pride for the Yemeni people.
