Mahweet: The Central Emergency Development Interventions Unit has initiated a community-driven project to construct the al-Sharif – Wadi La’ah – Bani al-Awam Road in Mahweet province. This crucial development aims to enhance connectivity between the provinces of Hajjah and Mahweet, thereby facilitating smoother movement for citizens.
According to Yemen News Agency, the project was inaugurated with the presence of local officials and representatives from the beneficiary communities. The focus was on community involvement as the unit’s representative in the province underscored the importance of public participation in supporting development initiatives led by the state.
The head of the Beneficiaries Committee expressed the road project’s significance, noting its role in connecting isolated villages and districts and improving access to essential services. This is expected to alleviate various challenges faced by the local communities.
