Al-Shajan: A charity bakery funded by philanthropists at a cost of six million riyals was inaugurated on Saturday in the Al-Shajan area in the Al-Durayhimi district, Hodeida province. The initiative aims to provide free bread to 400 poor and needy families daily, addressing citizens’ suffering and improving their living conditions.
According to Yemen News Agency, the bakery represents a significant humanitarian effort to support the most needy families in the region. Established and equipped at the expense of a philanthropist, it serves as a stable source of free bread distribution throughout the year.
Local secretary of the directorate, Abdullah Abkar, highlighted the importance of such charity projects amidst the prevailing difficult economic conditions. He emphasized the necessity of continuing these efforts to ensure the provision of basic needs for poor families.
Beneficiaries of the bakery have expressed their gratitude to the benefactor and all those involved in the project. They stressed that this initiative is crucial in alleviating their living burdens.
