Sana'a: The Undersecretary of the Ministry of Health and Environment, Dr. Najib Al-Qabati, today launched the Charity Week for Heart Patients at the Consulting Hospital in the Capital Sana'a. This event marked the opening of the Center for Heart Diseases and Surgery, Cardiac Catheterization, and Peripheral Cardiac Catheterization.
According to Yemen News Agency, the Undersecretary, along with the Assistant Secretary-General of the Medical Council, Dr. Amin Al-Junaid, and the Director of the Health Office in the Capital Sana'a, Dr. Mutahhar Al-Marouni, listened to an explanation from hospital officials about the Charity Week. The initiative offers free examinations, heart medications, echocardiograms, ECGs, and cardiac work-up services, as well as discounts on diagnostic and therapeutic catheterizations and all open-heart surgeries, excluding supplies.
At the launch, the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Health emphasized the importance of charitable initiatives to alleviate patients' suffering, especially amid the country's current circumstances due to the repercussions of aggression. He highlighted developments in the health sector through the opening of specialized centers for various diseases and the presence of qualified Yemeni cadres capable of meeting the challenges imposed by aggression, providing diagnostic and therapeutic medical services.
Dr. Al-Qabati further noted the Ministry of Health and Environment's commitment to encouraging investments in the health sector, particularly those related to heart disease. He emphasized that competition in providing medical services would contribute to their advancement and improvement.
The Director of the Health Office indicated that such initiatives contribute to strengthening community solidarity and alleviating patients' suffering. He called on hospitals, diagnostic, and medical centers to implement charitable initiatives that provide services to the community and the poorest families. He urged the private and public sectors to compete in implementing such initiatives within the framework of piety and benevolence, especially with the approaching anniversary of the birth of the Prophet Muhammad.
Dr. Ali Saif, Director of the Center for Cardiac Diseases and Surgery, Cardiac Catheterization, and Peripheral Intervention at the Consulting Hospital, reviewed the Charity Week program, including its free services and discounts. The Undersecretary of the Ministry of Health and Environment and the Director of the Health Office also reviewed the equipment at the Center for Cardiac Diseases and Surgery and Cardiac Catheterization at the hospital.
