Sana'a: Chief of the Supreme Judicial Council Dr. Abdulmoamen Shujaa'eddin, accompanied by senior judicial officials, on Tuesday visited the Supreme Court and appeal courts in the capital Sana'a and Sana'a governorate to assess operational discipline following Eid al-Fitr.
According to Yemen News Agency, on the 5th of Shawwal, 1447 AH (March 24, 2026), Chief Justice Dr. Abdul-Moamen Shujaa'eddin, along with the Secretary-General of the Supreme Judicial Council, Judge Hashim Aqbat, and other senior officials, visited the Supreme Court to review post-Eid operations. They met with the President of the Supreme Court, Judge Abdul-Samad al-Mutawakel, and other members of the court.
The delegation also visited the Appeal Courts of Sana'a and Sana'a Governorate, where they met with the respective heads, Judge Taha Aqbah and Judge Abdul-Hamid al-Sharafi, to discuss court performance, case scheduling, and efforts to expedite justice. Chief Justice Shujaa'eddin emphasized the need for improved efforts, swift case resolution, and simplifying litigation procedures to ensure the timely delivery of justice. He highlighted the critical role of the judiciary in safeguarding rights and freedoms.
The Deputy Minister of Justice, Judge Ibrahim al-Shami, reiterated the Ministry's commitment to providing logistical and administrative support to the courts, addressing challenges to ensure high-performance standards and enhancing the judicial services offered to the public. In turn, the heads and judges of the Appeal Courts of the capital and Sana'a governorate expressed appreciation for the visit and reaffirmed their dedication to maintaining judicial integrity, resolving disputes, and upholding justice.
