Jiuquan: China launched two new groups of remote sensing satellites from the Jiuquan Satellite Launch Center in the northwest of the country. The launch took place aboard a Long March-4B carrier rocket and was successfully completed as the satellites entered their predetermined orbits.
According to Yemen News Agency, the two satellite groups, named "Yaogan-53" and "Yaogan-56," were launched at 5 p.m. Thursday (Beijing time). These satellites are primarily intended for scientific experiments, land and resource surveys, crop yield estimation, and disaster prevention and mitigation.
This successful launch marks the 666th mission of the Long March series of carrier rockets, highlighting China's continued advancements in space technology and satellite deployment.
