Beijing: China's services trade registered steady growth during the first eight months of 2025, with imports and exports reaching nearly 5.25 trillion yuan (about US$739 billion), marking a 7.4 percent increase year-on-year. According to Yemen News Agency, the Xinhua News Agency reported on Wednesday, citing official data from the Chinese Ministry of Commerce, that services exports rose 14.7 percent year-on-year to 2.3 trillion yuan in the first eight months, while services imports rose 2.3 percent to 2.95 trillion yuan. The trade deficit narrowed by 228 billion yuan compared to the same period last year. Knowledge-intensive services trade continued its upward trend, with imports and exports reaching 2.03 trillion yuan, a 6.7 percent increase year-on-year. Trade in travel-related services reached 1.45 trillion yuan, up 8.6 percent year-on-year, while exports of these services rose 57.6 percent during the period.
