Moscow: Chinese Premier Li Qiang announced that China is ready to deepen cooperation with Russia in the fields of energy, agriculture, and other investments. According to Yemen News Agency, Li was quoted by Xinhua News Agency on Tuesday as saying during his meeting with his Russian counterpart, Mikhail Mishustin, on Monday in Moscow, that "China welcomes more agricultural and food products from Russia." Li added that "China also hopes Russia will provide more facilities for Chinese companies to invest and operate there." For his part, Mishustin told the Chinese premier that "cooperation between the two sides has repeatedly proven its resilience in the face of external challenges." He added, according to the transcript of the meeting published on the Russian government's website, "Our cooperation in the energy sector is of a special strategic nature, encompassing the oil, gas, coal, and nuclear energy sectors."
