Chinese President Advocates for $30 Trillion Shanghai Cooperation Organization Economies

Shanghai: Chinese President Xi Jinping announced during the meeting of the 25th Summit of the Council of Heads of the "Shanghai Cooperation Organization" state, on Monday, that the size of the organization's economies approached 30 trillion US dollars, calling for the establishment of the Shanghai Cooperation Development Bank as soon as possible, and the launch of a center to face the security challenges facing the organization. According to Yemen News Agency, the Chinese president stated that his country is planning to implement 100 small social care projects in the needy member states of the organization. China also aims to provide 2 billion yuan, approximately 280 million dollars, as aid to these member states this year. China's investments in the economies of other member states of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization have exceeded $84 billion. President Xi emphasized that all members of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization are considered "friends and partners." The summit, held in the Chinese city of Tianjin, marks a historic gathering of heads of state and governments from more than 20 countries. Notable participants include Russian President Vladimir Putin and Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The Shanghai Cooperation Organization, founded in 2001, comprises member countries such as Belarus, India, Iran, Kazakhstan, China, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Tajikistan, Pakistan, and Uzbekistan. Additionally, the organization includes observer countries like Afghanistan and Mongolia, as well as partner countries including Azerbaijan, Armenia, Cambodia, Nepal, the United Arab Emirates, Turkey, and Sri Lanka.
