Sana'a: Search and rescue teams of the Civil Defense Authority successfully rescued a citizen who was stranded on a highly rugged rocky cliff in Al-Salam area, located between Bani Al-Siyagh and Al-Jada'an districts in Al-Haymah Al-Dakhiliyah District, Sana'a Governorate.
According to Yemen News Agency, the search and rescue operation lasted seven continuous hours, starting at 1:00 a.m. and continuing until 8:00 a.m., amid extremely dangerous mountainous terrain and complex field conditions. The operation was carried out to rescue citizen Jamil Hussein Al-Ma'tari under the direct supervision of the Head of the Civil Defense Authority, Major General Hajes Al-Jamie, and field oversight by Deputy Head Brig. Gen. Fadl Al-Sa'adi, Acting Director of Disaster Response and Emergency Col. Eng. Mohammed Al-Najri, Director of Public Relations and Guidance Col. Khaled Al-Sharahi, and Director of the Civil Defense Branch in Sana'a Governorate Col. Mohammed Jaafar.
The mission was implemented by the search and rescue team from the Authority's headquarters, led by Engineer Yasser Al-Dhira', in coordination with the Civil Defense branch team in Sana'a Governorate. Local authorities, tribal leaders, and residents praised the bravery of the Civil Defense teams in rescuing Al-Ma'tari, while the Authority affirmed that its personnel will continue to carry out their humanitarian and national duties with full dedication and commitment.
