Sanaa: The committee for the preparation of the executive regulations of the Medicine and Pharmacy Law held its meeting on Saturday under the chairmanship of Minister of Health and Environment Dr. Ali Shaiban. The meeting, which was attended by Deputy Minister of Health and Environment Dr. Nasher Al-Qaoud and members of the committee, focused on discussing the procedures for preparing the executive regulations of the Medicine and Pharmacy Law, the tasks of the committee members according to their expertise, and the chronic plan for the preparation of the regulations.
According to Yemen News Agency, Minister Shaiban urged the committee to ensure that the regulations are qualitative and align with the desired goals of the Medicine and Pharmacy Law. He emphasized that the success of the regulations relies on the concerted efforts of the concerned authorities to regulate the pharmaceutical industry and pharmacy practices, aiming to rationalize the dispensing of medicines.
Minister Shaiban reiterated that the issuance of the law is the initial step in a series of planned measures aimed at enhancing pharmaceutical practices. The goal is to transition from viewing medicine merely as a commodity to treating it as a service provided to people without exploitation, thereby fostering a more ethical approach to medicine manufacturing and trading.
