Al-Rujum:Residents of Bani Al-Ghuthaifi Sub-district have successfully completed the paving of eight sections of the 'Abir Al-Raydah-Al-Qawarah-Beit Al-Radhi' road in the Al-Rujum district of Al-Mahwit governorate. This effort was part of a community initiative to enhance local infrastructure.
According to Yemen News Agency, the initiative received support from the Al-Rujum Multipurpose Cooperative Society and was funded by the Central Emergency Interventions Unit at the Ministry of Local and Rural Administration and Development. The project is part of value-chain efforts to improve the road network, benefiting approximately 20,000 residents in several sub-districts, including Bani Al-Ghuthaifi, Al-Madani, Al-Qahtani, Thamer, Al-Hawasila, and Ibn Abdullah.
Zayed Al-Radhi, head of the initiative's beneficiary committee, highlighted that the targeted road is 330 meters long and four meters wide. With the cement provided, 120 linear meters have been paved, distributed across eight sections through community collaboration.
The project is being executed under the supervision of the Al-Rujum Multipurpose Cooperative Society and the Central Emergency Interventions Unit, in partnership with the local authority and the General Mobilization in the district. Continued cooperation between these entities and the community is deemed essential for completing the remaining work.
Residents expressed their gratitude to the supporting organizations for their role in facilitating the road improvements, which are expected to significantly benefit the community.
