Comprehensive Cleanliness Campaign Launched in Al Dhale’ in Preparation for Ramadan

Al Dhale’: A comprehensive cleanliness campaign was launched on Sunday in Damt district, Al Dhale’ province, in preparation for the holy month of Ramadan, under the title “Cleanliness is a faith commitment and civilized behavior”.

According to Yemen News Agency, the campaign is organized by the Cleanliness Fund in the province center and districts, with official and community participation. The initiative aims to clean the streets and residential neighborhoods, prepare for the holy month, promote environmental awareness of the importance of cleanliness, and embody it as a cultural and civilized behavior.

Abdullatif Al-Shaghdari, the acting governor of Al-Dhale’, emphasized the campaign’s importance in preparing the psychological and spiritual atmosphere for Ramadan. He highlighted the responsibility of commitment to cleanliness and preserving it as a religious and civilized behavior.

Al-Shaghdari also pointed out the necessity of enhancing community awareness about the significance of cleanliness and environmental preservation to eliminate epidemics and diseases. This effort is also intended to present the province as a civilized appearance, making it a potential tourist and therapeutic destination.

The Executive Director of the Cleanliness Fund, Saleh Al-Shaafli, explained that the campaign, which will continue until the end of Shaaban, involves more than twenty workers and six pieces of equipment. A mechanism is in place to transport the accumulated waste and dust.
