Al-mahwit: A training course for the main planning team in the districts concluded in Al-Mahwit Governorate today. The course focused on updating current situation analysis studies and preparing the integrated developmental strategic plan for the years (1448-1450 AH).
According to Yemen News Agency, the five-day course aimed, with the participation of 60 trainees including district directors, mobilization, planning, and agricultural association officials, researchers, and the technical team from the planning sector, to enhance the capacities of local cadres in the fields of development planning. It provided training on the integrated development work model, updating current situation studies, preparing the three-year strategic plan, and deriving the executive plan for the year 1448 AH.
The course addressed a range of issues related to the local realities of the districts, most notably the stability of the environmental situation and its relation to natural resources, the weakness of community resources and its impact on the social situation, the decline in economic activities due to weak agricultural, livestock, and handicraft production, in addition to the causes of rural-to-urban migration and its effects on economic and service conditions.
Participants in the course reviewed the collection and analysis of information related to the current situation in the districts in preparation for preparing strategic plans for the next three years and executive plans for the year 1448 AH. This focused on assessing the environmental situation and available resources, studying prevailing economic activities, determining service levels and their impact on citizens, and formulating appropriate recommendations to achieve sustainable development according to the priorities of each district.
In conclusion, the representative of the agricultural cooperative sector in the governorate, Abdulaziz Al-Maswabi, and the Deputy Director of Planning in the governorate, Adel Al-Jadi, considered the course an important step to enhance developmental capacities and diagnose developmental priorities in the human, social, and economic fields. This enables the formulation of practical solutions that contribute to achieving sustainable development.
They pointed out that the results of the course will form a roadmap for developing sustainable programs and projects in the districts, with a focus on integrating available resources with the needs of the local community. This contributes to building a balanced and effective developmental environment that benefits all segments of society.
