Conclusion of Fourth Archery Championship in Sana’a

Sana'a: The fourth outdoor archery championship concluded in Sana'a, organized by the General Federation of Archery under the supervision of the Ministry of Youth and Sports, with support from the Youth and Children Welfare Fund.

According to Yemen News Agency, the championship featured strong competition among 44 male and female players from four governorates, competing across four categories, reflecting the sport's growing level and the expanding base of participants.

In the men's category, Nasr Al-Siyaghi claimed first place, followed by Ilyas Hail in second. Kamal Abdulraqib Al-Hilali secured third place and the bronze medal, while Mohammed Ajlan finished fourth.

In the boys' juniors category, Abdullah Al-Hashadi won the title and gold medal after an exciting match that went into extra rounds and was decided by a tie-breaking shot. Ahmed Al-Haj placed second, Qais Saleh third, and Ameer Abdulrahim fourth.

In the girls' juniors category, Lin Ahmed took first place, followed by Farah Waheeb in second, Jana Hamza Al-Amari in third, and Salma Nabil Al-Sharafi in fourth.

In the women's category, Hanad Al-Dughaish won the championship and the gold medal, ahead of Nada Al-Qaratli, who earned silver. National team player Afnan Al-Ashwal finished third, while Dalal Al-Suwaidi placed fourth.

During the closing ceremony, attended by Assistant Undersecretary of the Sports Sector Dr. Kamal Al-Sharif and Executive Director of the Youth and Children Welfare Fund Abdul Hamid Al-Maghribi, the Assistant Undersecretary praised the organization and the high technical level displayed by the players in the final rounds. He noted that the broad participation and strong performance-especially in the juniors categories-represent a key step toward building a solid foundation that keeps pace with the rapid development of archery and enhances its future competitive prospects.
