Sana'a: The final round of the Holy Qur'an competition for female students of the summer courses in the Capital Secretariat was held on Wednesday for the year 1447 AH. The competition was organized by the Generation of the Qur'an Schools, under the Qur'anic Culture Unit, in coordination with the subcommittee for summer courses and the Charitable Society for the Holy Qur'an.
According to Yemen News Agency, the competition included preliminary rounds across various summer courses at the level of the Secretariat, resulting in the qualification of more than 200 students in multiple categories of the Holy Qur'an. This led up to the final round in which 66 students competed. In the first round, the qualified students competed, with 30 advancing to the final round held today, amid a spiritual atmosphere and distinguished Qur'anic competition.
The competition categories included full memorization of the Holy Qur'an, 20 parts, half of the Qur'an, as well as the 5-part and 3-part categories. These categories reflect diverse levels of memorization and encourage engagement with the Book of Allah through memorization and reflection.
The organizers affirmed that these activities aim to strengthen the connection to the Holy Qur'an, develop students' memorization and recitation skills, and instill faith-based values. This contributes to building a conscious generation firmly rooted in its religious identity. They also noted that the top winners will be honored at the conclusion of the central event, recognizing their efforts and excellence in this blessed Qur'anic competition.
