Sana'a: The summer courses for deaf and mute individuals, organized by the Technical Committee for Summer Activities and Courses, the Security and Police Sector of the Ministry of Interior, and the Association for the Care of the Deaf and Mute, concluded on Sunday in Sana'a. The closing ceremony witnessed the graduation of 91 male and female students who participated in the specialized summer schools at Al-Mustaqbal and 30 November schools under the slogan "Knowledge and Jihad."
According to Yemen News Agency, Deputy Minister of Youth and Sports-member of the Supreme Committee for Summer Activities and Courses, Nabih Abu Shaw?a', emphasized the importance of holding specialized summer courses for deaf and mute students. The courses aim to provide them with care, support, and special attention to integrate them into society and motivate them to engage and contribute, as they are a cherished segment of society.
Abu Shaw?a', in the presence of Deputy Minister of Youth for Sports Affairs Ali Hadban, Head of the Social Affairs Committee in the Capital Secretariat Hamoud Al-Naqeeb, Head of the Joint Operations Room at the Ministry of Interior Brigadier General Salah Al-Mansour, and Advisor to the Deputy Minister of Security and Police Brigadier General Mohammed Al-Subari, noted the Supreme Committee's commitment to supporting activities that develop skills and build the capacities of youth across all segments. He highlighted that the continuity of these programs reflects the concerned authorities' dedication to people with special needs.
He stressed that these activities come within the framework of partnerships between state institutions and societal components, under the patronage of the revolutionary leadership represented by Sayyed Abdulmalik Badruddin Al-Houthi, the Supreme Political Council, and the Government of Change and Reconstruction. Abu Shaw?a' underscored the necessity of sustaining such specialized programs due to their vital role in boosting the confidence of individuals with special needs.
Meanwhile, Brigadier General Ahmed Al-Sharfi, Deputy Director of the Office of the Deputy Minister of Interior for Security and Police Affairs, emphasized the importance of summer courses in shaping the future generation. He urged the practical application of the knowledge and values acquired by students and called for raising societal awareness to thwart the schemes of enemies.
Al-Sharfi touched on the honorable historical role of the Revolution Leader Sayyed Abdulmalik Badruddin Al-Houthi, the Yemeni people, and their armed forces in supporting the oppressed Palestinian people against the Zionist enemy. He commended the efforts of teachers in educating and raising awareness among the participants.
For his part, Iyad Al-Wa'il, Secretary-General of the Association for the Care and Rehabilitation of the Deaf and Mute, expressed gratitude to the organizing and supporting entities, praising the successes achieved in empowering participants and enhancing their skills. In a speech on behalf of the graduates, student Khawater Talal affirmed that they had gained extensive knowledge that enriched their abilities and experiences. She extended thanks to all supporting entities for their relentless efforts in facilitating their learning and ensuring the success of these courses.
