Sana'a: A training course for female development pioneers concluded on Thursday in Al-Sabeen District of the Capital Secretariat. The course was organized by the Local Council, Bonyan Development Foundation, and Bonyan Training and Qualification Academy, as part of the Volunteer Support Program.
According to Yemen News Agency, the 14-day course was supported by the Capital's Agricultural and Fisheries Projects and Initiatives Financing Unit and conducted in collaboration with Al-Sabeen Educational District. It aimed to equip 29 female trainees with foundational knowledge in volunteer work, self-development, community initiatives, resource mobilization, and urban development.
The program included specialized awareness lectures in various development fields. The goal was to enhance the participants' capabilities in voluntary development work and to provide them with the skills and knowledge necessary to contribute effectively to sustainable local development.
During the closing ceremony, Ghadeer Al-Houthi, Coordinator of Bonyan Foundation in the Capital, emphasized the role of development pioneers in activating volunteer and development efforts on the ground. She also highlighted their participation in implementing various development programs and utilizing available community resources and opportunities.
Meanwhile, Sumayah Al-Washali, Coordinator of the Women's Authority in Al-Sabeen District, urged the trainees to apply the outcomes of the course in practice. She stressed the importance of advancing development efforts to achieve the desired goals.
In their remarks, the development pioneers highlighted the role of Yemeni women as a model in various aspects of life and community service. They expressed appreciation for the efforts of those who organized this outstanding course.
