Hodeidah: A training course focused on the fundamentals of voluntary work, development, developmental resources, and community initiatives recently concluded in the Hodeidah governorate. This course was organized by the Bonyan Development Foundation with oversight from the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Water Resources, the local authority in the governorate, the Agricultural Cooperative Union, and its branch in Hodeidah.
According to Yemen News Agency, the course was carried out by the Bonyan Academy for Training and Qualification as part of their volunteer support program. Over ten days, the program aimed to train 65 individuals from the districts of the City Square (Al Hawak, Al Hali, and Al Mina), equipping them with essential developmental skills and knowledge. The goal is to help activate the community's role and foster self-initiatives.
Governor Abdullah Atifi emphasized the significance of training programs in nurturing youth capacities and channeling their energy towards constructive and developmental efforts. He highlighted the local authority's commitment to supporting community initiatives, viewing them as critical to achieving sustainable development and self-reliance amid current challenges. Governor Atifi commended the Bonyan Foundation and Academy for their dedication to implementing programs designed to develop youth capacities and enhance community and voluntary work within the targeted districts.
During the course's conclusion, attended by Deputy Governor Ali Kabari, Salem Al Ahdal, the Bonyan Foundation's coordinator in the governorate, explained that the training aimed to impart concepts and skills related to voluntary work, community development, and initiative management. This effort is expected to broaden community participation and strengthen the role of participants in serving their communities.
