Sana’a: A workshop was concluded in Sana’a to discuss the outputs of the first phase of the Agricultural Natural Resources Map, organized by the Irrigation Sector of the Ministry of Agriculture in cooperation with the Water and Environment Center at Sana’a University.
According to Yemen News Agency, participants emphasized the importance of scientific studies in developing agricultural strategies. They highlighted the need to create natural resources maps and adhere to modern standards to establish a unified national database that supports investment and development.
The workshop saw participation from researchers and academics from various universities and government agencies. They evaluated soil and water conditions, land uses, and crop composition across the targeted governorates.
The closing ceremony was attended by the Irrigation Officer, Engineer Abbas Hiba, and the Director of the Water and Environment Center, Dr. Taha Al-Washli. Participants were honored with certificates of appreciation for their contributions.
