Athens: A conference was held in the Greek capital, Athens, to support the resistance axis of Iran, Lebanon, Palestine, and Yemen against US-Zionist imperialism. The conference was organized by the Anti-Imperialist Front in Greece.
According to Yemen News Agency, the event brought together 150 political, academic, journalistic, and media figures from various nations, including Iran, Lebanon, Palestine, and Yemen. Participants also included representatives from the anti-imperialist movement in NATO countries. The discussions focused on the current situation in West Asia and the collective struggle against US-Zionist imperialism, with support from anti-imperialist organizations and associations.
Key attendees included Nasr al-Din Amer, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Yemeni News Agency 'Saba' and Deputy Head of the Ansar Allah Media Authority, Constantina Kartsiouti from the Anti-Imperialist Front, and Dr. Ali al-Hajj Hassan from Hezbollah. Other notable participants were the Secretary-General of the Youth Organization of the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine, a speaker from the Palestinian camps in Lebanon, Professor Vassilis Leousis, and academic Evangelos Venitis.
The conference emphasized International Quds Day as a significant event that unites resistance forces from the region with the anti-imperialist movement in NATO countries. Discussions provided insights into the ongoing situation in West Asia and the shared opposition against American imperialism and Zionism.
Nasr al-Din Amer discussed the Yemeni people's commitment to International Quds Day, commemorated on the last Friday of Ramadan, as a demonstration of loyalty to the Palestinian cause and support for Al-Quds. He highlighted the necessity of strengthening the role of resistance in the region amidst challenges posed by global powers like America and Israel and their regional proxies.
