Sana'a: The Ministry of Education and Scientific Research convened a meeting in Sana'a, led by Minister Hassan Al-Saadi, with presidents of public and private universities to deliberate on the challenges facing the educational process and potential solutions.
According to Yemen News Agency, the consultative meeting concentrated on several critical issues, including mechanisms for student transfers between universities, the bridging system, cultural and awareness activities within universities, and regulations concerning student affairs. Participants also scrutinized the difficulties associated with graduate document authentication and explored necessary solutions.
Minister Al-Saadi underscored the significance of this meeting in addressing urgent higher education matters in Yemen. He highlighted the need to understand institutional challenges and work towards satisfactory solutions for all parties involved. To this end, he directed the formation of a joint committee comprising representatives from both public and private universities. This committee is tasked with developing proposals and solutions for educational challenges, with a particular focus on student transfers and document authentication processes, ensuring that students face no additional burdens or delays.
The meeting was attended by Deputy Minister Dr. Hatem Al-Duais, Higher Education Undersecretary Dr. Ibrahim Luqman, Academic Accreditation Council Secretary-General Dr. Mohammed Dhiyafullah, and university presidents.
